Dieters who lose weight fast are simply as likely to keep your pounds off once they reach their target weight as people who slim down more zi xiu tang slowly, based on the results of an Australian study published in The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology (online, 16 October 2014)[1].

The research throws on its head the accepted view that a person should slim down slowly if they really wants to retain how much they weigh reduction in the long run.

Two hundred obese adults were split into two groups through the researchers with the aim of achieving a weight loss of 15%.

One group followed a 12-week rapid-loss programme on a daily 450kcal to 800kcal diet. Another group was placed on a 36-week gradual weight-loss programme and reduced their usage of calories by 500kcal.

Researchers discovered that 81% of individuals around the rapid-loss programme lost 12.5% of their bodyweight in contrast to 50% within the gradual weight loss group.

Participants who lost more than 12.5% of their bodyweight were then put on a weight maintenance diet for three years. After this period, 71% of leisure 18 slimming coffee participants regained the load they had originally lost -- regardless of the programme they'd followed at the outset, the researchers found.
